A specialist style of yoga in itself, prenatal yoga assists the mothers attention to wind itself slowly into her centre. There she feels the connection that exists between her and her child and from there she begins her preparations for labour. The physical body, sometimes strengthened, sometimes softened, is offering its familiarity and its own sense of home as the mother undertakes the journey of birth, sometimes gritty, sometimes primal. The skills she will learn for breath control and physical ease of placement of her body will be of great comfort and great joy on the day she will need them most.
