Osteopathy is a drug-free, non-invasive manual therapy that aims to improve health across all body systems by manipulating and strengthening the musculoskeletal framework.
Osteopathy recognises the important link between the structure of the body and the way it functions. This means that when you visit an Osteopaths for a musculoskeletal issue such as a sore ankle, your Osteopath would assess not only your injured ankle, but also all the connecting tissues that attach to your ankle. As these tissues affect the positioning and strength of your ankle. This may mean that you get treatment for your knee or your hip as well, you may even leave with a breathing practice as well.
Osteopathy is also a safe and evidence based practice suitable for newborns. Cranio Sacral Therapy is a techniques parents seek out to help address many newborn issues including: Birth trauma, such as issues from a vacuum or forceps extraction or an emergency C-section, breastfeeding issues, constipation, reflux, colic, sleep issues, teething, head shape, earaches, issues or traumas arising from the birth process, developmental delays.
