Tracy thrives on creating unique, seasonally attuned classes tailored to student needs. Her classes are infused with ancient yogic wisdom and her own life learning. She is a caring and kind teacher who finds great joy in helping her students reach their yoga potential at any age in a safe environment.
At 12 years of age she tagged along with her best friend to her very first yoga class. Held in a beautiful old sandstone building, it was an evening class complete with candles, incense and inspired music. Captivated, Tracy fell in love with this ancient and deeply profound practice. Yoga has been a constant part of her life since; a steady friend through all of life’s ups and downs, continually drawing her back into its solid embrace.
Her desire to finally fulfil her dream of becoming a yoga teacher was born from a long battle with a chronic health condition for many years. ‘My decision to train as a yoga teacher and commit to this path has been nothing short of a miraculous transformation for my health and life. I feel I am living proof of yoga’s power to heal and it gives me the greatest joy to be able to share yoga in its many forms with others. What I love about teaching is that it is a constantly evolving and creative process; I am constantly learning new things for my own practice which I can then share with my students.’
Tracy had the privilege to obtain her training under the guidance of respected senior teachers, Yolande Hyde and Fabio Fabbri. Their in-depth teaching has given her a solid foundation in classical Hatha yoga with Ayurvedic and Seasonal 5 element qualities.
On the weekends you will find her somewhere by the sea. Swimming in all weather, the ocean inspires and rejuvenates her. Her love is a good book, friends, live music, growing vegetables, walking/cycling in nature and taking her practice outdoors. She is a passionate activist for all things related to caring for our home, planet earth. Having spent 15 years as a Marine Ecologist before immersing herself in the wonders of Yoga fulltime, her philosophy is that caring for our planet is not a job; its part of our rent in return for living in this beautiful place.
Tracy’s classes create a vital pause in daily life, helping us to connect with the bigger picture by providing space from habitual ways of thinking and being in our bodies. She feels truly blessed to have the opportunity to be of service in this way.
