Jacqui Guliano is a senior level 3 yoga teacher accredited with Yoga Australia and teaches at the Avalon branch which she established in 2002. Whilst completing her degree in architecture from the mid 1980’s and early 90’s, Jacqui practiced yoga with various Sydney based yoga teachers; Shandor Remete, Simon Borg-Olivier, Carolyn Coggins, Andzej Gospodarczyk and Eve Gryzbowski and eventually completed a yoga teacher training course at the Sydney Yoga Centre in 1997. In the same year she met her spiritual yoga teacher, Clive Sheridan who she continues to retreat with both in India and Australia. Jacqui also completed a Diploma in Zen Shiatsu in 2006.
Jacqui has followed a strong passion for food and nutrition, especially in the journey of her own health, and while we all wonder when she will write the book on the wholefoods and health that she knows so much about you can read some her articles online or attend one of her Wholefood cooking courses.
Jacqui’s teaching embraces her backgrounds in hatha yoga tradition, tantra advaita philosophies, traditional Chinese medicine and meridian theory, seasonal and wholefood healing. Looking for balance, integrity and meaning of yoga on the mat and in our lives is what inspires her teaching. Jacqui brings a depth and maturity to her teaching which is inspiring and nurturing. Jacqui presently teaches yoga and healing with wholefoods cooking and is a shiatsu practitioner. She leads workshops, intensive and retreats in Australia and overseas.
